The One Centre boosts senior creative division

The One Centre has expanded its senior creative team with the appointments of Chris Gillespie and Bettina Winkler.

The One Centre, a branding and innovation agency, has expanded its creative capabilities by appointing Chris Gillespie as creative director & head of digital and Bettina Winkler as design director.

The two senior team appointments bring a wealth of experience in physical and digital brand design, communications, content, environments and experiences gained from international branding experience across categories, cultures and countries.

Gillespie is one of the most experienced and innovative brand and digital creatives in Australia and internationally. He is a highly skilled creative/art director, designer, illustrator and innovator with a deep understanding and passion for technology and digital experiences.

Possessing a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Gillespie has co-founded and run three creative companies and guided teams to deliver projects which have gone on to win accolades at D&AD, Cannes and many more. He has worked for clients such as ABC, Coca-Cola, Paspaley, Qantas, Red Bull, Telstra and Virgin Mobile. His appointment sees him assume the role full-time, having worked in a contract capacity with The One Centre.

Gillespie is responsible for the agency’s creative and technology teams and the hands-on, creative direction and design for projects. He joins The One Centre’s leadership team alongside the heads of strategy, media and management. He will report to managing director Katie Molloy and founder, chairman & CEO John Ford.

As a deeply experienced design director, Bettina Winkler brings 15 years of international branding experience across multi-channel applications and sectors in the creative industry. An exceptional designer with extensive experience gained working for renowned studios Winkreative, Hingston, Special, and Eskimo, as well as leading creative agencies Special Group and Droga5, and she was previously a senior brand creative at The One Centre.

Winkler will help lead all the brand identity design and multi-touchpoint brand expression and communication projects for The One Centre’s portfolio of emerging local/global B2C and B2B brand disruptors. She will report to The One Centre’s creative director & head of digital, Chris Gillespie.

She brings a unique cultural perspective and understanding of modern branding for global markets which along with her thoughtful and well-crafted approach to design makes her the perfect fit for The One Centre. The creative appointments reflect the agency’s growth as it enters its 23rd year. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients such as Immutable, Aquila, Ingenia, Lounge Lovers, Cosette, All G Foods, AQUNA, Aircalin, Ofload, Sotheby’s, Ferrari and The Menopause Co, The One Centre offers clients total branding capabilities with an emphasis on “modern branding”.
