The origin of Amaysim’s Love Machine revealed in music video

Following the launch of its ‘Little Sim, Big Love’ campaign at the start of November, Amaysim has released a full music video for the Love Machine track that backed the ad.

Performed by former Gang of Youths lead guitarist Joji Malani as the ‘love machine’, the film tells his origin story on a vintage dating show, before spreading the love with Amaysim.

Amaysim CMO, Renee Garner, said the brands was motivated to launch a full music video for the track after receiving positive feedback from consumers on the campaign.

“Our customers loved the Love Machine cover, by Joji Malani, featured in our recent campaign so much that they were contacting us requesting the full version of the song,” Garner said.

“Amaysim is known for showing our customers crazy customer love, so in the spirit of big love we decided to go one better and create a Love Machine music video for our customers to enjoy.”

The campaign was the first work from 72 and Sunny Sydney after it won a competitive pitch for Amaysims creative account in August.

The music video was shot in Sydney, abiding by COVID-19 regulations.

“Having landed on this awesome song for the Little Sim, Big Love brand platform, we were stoked to bring the Love Machine to life further in a music video. Working with Amaysim, Joji Malani and our other partners we had a lot of fun on set, capturing the magic of the song and more of the love from Amaysim to their customers,” said Luke Martin, head of product at 72 and Sunny.

The music video will become part of Amaysim’s integrated campaign, which is running on TV, social, digital and PR.
