The Post Lounge makes several strategic appointments
Independent post-production house The Post Lounge and its sibling company Orange Entertainment Co. have announced several key appointments as part of a new global strategy anchored in ‘creative first’.
The new approach places creative excellence and output at the core, using it as the driving force behind the group’s growth, commercial success, and operations.
Managing director of the group, Kurt Royan, said The Post Lounge has always been a home for the best post-production creative, and now they are just doubling down on that mission with this new strategy.
To succeed, the group has made two key appointments and several promotions, including three newly-created roles.
Georgia Woodward joins as the new chief operating officer to drive strategic growth of both companies and manage the group’s operations.
She takes on the newly-created position after nearly two-and-a-half years at Southern Pictures, with other senior leadership roles in TV, branded content, and digital media under her belt.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join and lead such a dynamic group of companies with a global focus, clear entrepreneurial vision and a history of innovation,” she said.

After three years as The Post Lounge’s national general manager, Bronwyn Ketels has been promoted to the newly-created role of head of global production.
It marks the company’s first internationally focused position, with hopes it will solidify the group’s global focus.
Orange Entertainment Co.’s co-founder and executive producer, Dan Lake, will step into the new role of general manager for The Post Lounge’s Sydney office. He will also continue as an executive with Orange Entertainment Co.
Meanwhile, acclaimed industry colourist Brett Manson has joined The Post Lounge full-time as a senior colourist.
Royan said: “Having collaborated with Brett on many projects, we knew that he was the right person to help take TPL’s colour department to the next level. The perfect mix of talent, experience, wealth of technical expertise, and humility means your projects could be in no safer hands.”
Manson will guide a team of freshly-promoted junior colourists – Queensland’s Marie Gatt, NSW’s Margaux Hemard, and Victoria’s Kale Elbourne.
Finally, Stuart Morton will continue as head of sound for the group, overseeing the entire sound unit across all of The Post Lounge’s locations.
Royan continued: “We’re putting the right people in the right positions to enable the clearest path from production through to delivery, focussing on what matters most to directors and producers – prioritising the project creative, while ensuring we deliver to the highest standards, on time and on budget.”
The Post Lounge will also continue its strategic partnerships with VFX studio Resin and international post facility Company 3 to enable end-to-end workflows across the world, in line with its new vision.
