‘The recognition means a huge amount’: Why you should enter this year’s CommsCon Awards

If you’re considering entering the 2024 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards, you have just a few days left!

The final entry deadline is set to close this Friday (12 January) and the event will boast 25 categories, including the newly-added Best New-Comer of the Year.

Jurors for the 2024 awards include Thrive PR’s CEO, Leilani Abels, Bayer Australia’s head of communications, health, Mitzi Begent and Jacqui Abbott, executive director, group communications at Foxtel Group, among others.

One of the big winners in 2023 was Ogilvy PR which took out PR Agency of the Year. Speaking to Mumbrella this week, Richard Brett, CEO of Ogilvy PR and Ogilvy Health, said the win was very special for the agency.

“As a leadership team we spent a lot of time three years ago reflecting and thinking about how the industry was changing and what an agency fit for the future should offer and how it should be structured,” Brett said.

“Since then, we have been very focused on strengthening our consulting strategy and capabilities and so it was fantastic to see the results of all this hard work in the 2023 Large PR Agency award win at CommsCon.

“The recognition means a huge amount to the whole agency and provided great validation for our team – which we believe is the best in the industry; and it drove lots of interesting conversation and positive reaction among our clients and with prospects.”

The 2024 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards is set to go ahead on 27 March at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney. Click here to enter.
