The University of Southern Queensland says ‘you’ve got this’ in latest spot

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has released its latest ad campaign ahead of a new influx of students in the new year.

Created by Brisbane-based creative agency Brother & Co, the ad shows Katie’s journey from when she was learning to walk to studying as a stay at home mum.

At every pivotal point throughout her life, including learning to walk, having a baby and getting married, someone says to her “Katie you’ve got this”.

The spot is a continuation of its brand platform ‘Unleash your Fearless’ campaign.

Helen Nolan, executive director of marketing and student attraction for USQ, said in a statement: “Many of our online students are mature aged students, so it made sense to use a similar character for our film.

“It also allowed us to show our understanding of what they go through, and the support they need, not just in their studies, but to manage their busy lives.”

Piet Human, creative director and co-founder at Brother & Co, added: “We avoided the familiar category narratives of smiling students and campus life, to tell a richer more emotive story demonstrating how belief inspires bravery.”
