The Voice Australia hits the right note for Seven

The Voice Australia topped entertainment on Sunday, as the show helped win another ratings week for Seven.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 726,000 metro viewers, however it was Nine’s Lego Masters that won all three key advertising demos, with the program bringing in 630,000 metro viewers.

Seven took the week ending 14 May with a network share of 29.8% over Nine’s 27.8%, while Ten finished the week on 16.1% just pipping ABC’s 16.1% share.

Seven also managed to win the primary channel share for the week, with a 21.1% share ahead of Nine’s 19.3%, and the top multi-channel for the week was 7TWO on 3.6%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 8 May, Sunday’s episode of The Voice Australia was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.441 million viewers, including 189,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 27%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Life on ABC with an uplift of 52% and aired to a total audience of 247,000.

Looking at Sunday’s ratings, and next in entertainment was MasterChef on Ten which aired to an average metro audience of 477,000 viewers.

Grand Designs on ABC saw an average of 435,000 metro viewers tune in.

Nine’s 60 Minutes saw 425,000 metro viewers tune in, followed by The Sunday Project on Ten which had 4345,000 metro viewers.

Sunday’s AFL game on Seven saw an average metro audience of 312,000, while Nine’s NRL game on Sunday aired to 269,000 metro viewers.

The 2022 Eurovision song contest final morning episode on SBS aired to a metro audience of 196,000 metro viewers, while the evening episode saw 204,000 metro viewers tune in.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Sunday with 1.024 million metro viewers followed by Nine News on Sunday with 902,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 597,000.

Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 30.4% over Nine’s 28.1%, while Ten took a 17.3% share and the ABC had 13.5%.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 7Mate with a share of 3.3%.
