The Wired Agency snares Junkee Studio’s head of client service for director role

The Wired Agency has appointed Samantha Nunura (nee Bradford) as its group business director, following her role as head of client service at Junkee Studio (part of oOh! Media).

Nunura has worked at Junkee Media for the last seven years. During her time at the youth publisher and content agency, she has worked across accounts including Netflix, Westpac, AMEX and Qantas.

Moving into the newly created role, Nunura will oversee The Wired Agency’s key accounts, manage staff, and support the managing director and two managing partners on business development initiatives. She will report to founder and managing director of The Wired Agency, Angela Hampton.

Hampton said: “What a hire we’ve found in Samantha! It’s pretty rare to come across someone who has such a diverse set of skills having essentially worked for an agency inside a publishing house. From the minute I met her, I felt genuine warmth and passion; and she also cracked a few jokes up front so I knew she’d fit in well at Wired.

“We’re a few years old now as an agency and with plans to focus on fewer, bigger, better, always putting our people first, Sam is coming in at the perfect time to make a genuine difference.”

Commenting on her role, Nunura said: “I am thrilled to join the team at Wired. I continue to be blown away by their reputation in the market, their culture and incredible team and of course their work and approach to digital marketing. We have an exciting time ahead and I’m honored to take on the role of group business director.”

The agency acquired clients including Crown Group Australia and Tourism Italy earlier this year.

The Wired Agency has recently launched its own recruitment drive called Recruit your Mates, where $10,000 is offered to references for successful placements, for six positions in total.
