The Works creates iPad app for Jim Beam

Independent advertising agency The Works has developed an iPad app for alcohol brand Jim Beam.

The announcement:

SYDNEY, 11 JANUARY 2011: The Jim Beam Party Crew is starting its 2011 season with an iPad app for on-premise activations that will be more engaging to the consumer.

Created, designed and built by The Works, the app will be armed by their promotional teams, who can use it for competitions, prizes, and importantly, data capture that customers can opt-in to on the spot.

Ray Noble, brand director for Jim Beam, said: “This is part of the continued overall reinvention of the Party Crew and allows Jim Beam to talk to our audience in a more contemporary way. It puts us a step ahead of our competitors.”

The Party Crew has been running for a decade, and is one of the most successful brand ambassador and brand experience programs in Australia.

Damian Pincus, partner at The Works, said the constant reinvention of the Party Crew is central to its success.

“Across the board on the Jim Beam brand, we are constantly reinvigorating the marketing and the look and feel of the brand. The iPad app is just one part of what we will be launching in 2011.”
