‘There is no better time to extend the AFLW conversation’: Fox Sports to kick off new AFLW show
Fox Sports is gearing up to launch a new show dedicated to the AFL Women’s (AFLW) game, via a partnership with Medibank.
Airing on both Kayo Sports and Foxtel, ‘AFLW on Fox’ will provide viewers with a breakdown of the latest AFLW rounds in addition to discussing topics crucial to the league. Prolific AFLW journalist, Lauren Wood will co-host the show alongside sports commentator Kelli Underwood.
The pair will be entertaining a rotating guest host, with the show expected to be broadcasted straight after the each AFLW round’s last game.
“As women’s football continues to grow it’s crucial to have the important conversations. Every Sunday, after the final siren of the last game, we’ll wrap up the action – live in studio – with the biggest names in the game and the biggest news stories,” said Underwood.
“AFLW on Fox will be a one-stop shop for breaking news and analysis. Each week a star of the competition will also join us in the studio for a light-hearted look at the round of matches. These women know how to celebrate a goal and take the mickey out of themselves – so expect plenty of fun as we head into the finals series!’”

When asked about the show, Medibank’s chief marketing officer, Lisa Ronson, shared her employer’s excitement at the opportunity to uphold women’s sport.

Premiering on Kayo Sports and Foxtel on October 6 (Sunday) after the last AFLW game of the round, the show’s first episode will feature dual AFLW Women’s All Australian and Collingwood star Ruby Schleicher.
