Think HQ boosts Sydney team with local director

Think HQ has moved to strengthen its Sydney team, announcing Sarah Wood in the newly created role of Sydney director.

The Melbourne-headquartered agency says Wood is tasked with delivering language, social, strategic planning, technology, PR and production services, with the goal of growing the agency’s “integrated capabilities in Sydney”.

Prior to working for Think HQ, Wood served as the managing director of creative agency Slik from March 2024 to June 2025, having initially joined in September 2021 as its general manager.

Wood’s resume also boasts a more than a 10-year stint at experience design agency Imagination, where she worked on projects for its Australian and Asia Pacific teams, including the establishment of Imagination’s Shanghai operations.

“Think HQ’s unique capability to understand today’s Australia, their commitment to positive change and high performing integrated offer is what drew me to this role,” Wood said in a release.

“I’m passionate about amplifying that impact while driving commercial growth and expanding Think HQ’s reach in Sydney.”

Wood’s hiring sees her replace the business’s Sydney general manager Lorraine Jokovic, who has formally stepped down. Jokovic joined the Think HQ team following its acquisition of Loud Communications — an advertising agency that Jokovic had been the chief executive officer of for nearly 30 years — in late 2024.

Jen Sharpe, managing director and founder of Think HQ, spoke highly of Wood and Jokovic when commenting on her agency’s latest appointment news.

“Sarah is an ideal fit for Think HQ’s growth ambitions and values. She is a dynamic, innovative, smart, strategic and successful creative business leader, with a commitment to diversity and cross-cultural expertise built working across diverse markets,” Sharpe said in a media release. “We’re excited to have Sarah join us to lead Think HQ into the next stage of our growth out of Sydney and beyond.”

“I want to thank Lorraine for sharing our vision and so smoothly and successfully integrating her team and clients into Think HQ over the past 10 months. Her transition work has given us a strong foundation to drive further growth through Sydney as she hands the baton to Sarah.”

The announcement of Wood’s appointment follows campaigns Think HQ has delivered in recent months for Lipton Chai Latte, the Australian Federal Police and Bushells. This year also marks the agency’s 15th anniversary of being in the business.
