Third Hemisphere strengthens fintech portfolio with new clients

Third Hemisphere has won three new clients in the financial services and tech sectors, Mumbrella can reveal.

The founder-led agency has been handed the local account for global cryptocurrency platform OKX, with a goal of increasing its presence in the Australian market.

It has already begun spreading brand awareness in mainstream media, and facilitated the platform’s recent strategic partnership with Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri.

Third Hemisphere has also been appointed by bitcoin-backed loans provider Vield to help it establish brand and crypto credibility, especially in the mainstream financial services market.

Despite claiming a $35 million loan book and launching Australia’s first crypto-backed debit card, the brand wanted to improve the crypto sector’s reputation.

Chantra Hang, sales director of Vield, said the brand took a “long and hard look” at who it wanted to partner with for its first PR engagement, because he had heard “all the horror stories” about how it was a waste of time and money.

“We reviewed over 10 different firms to assess the right fit for our business, and the reason we chose Third Hemisphere was due to their experience with startups like ours,” he told Mumbrella.

“The determining factor was the people in the business. They are genuinely good humans who care and we shared the same ideas which made the collaboration a success, far exceeding our expectations.”

Finally, Third Hemisphere has also been engaged by Hejaz, one of the country’s largest Islamic financial providers of Shariah-compliant products.

Claiming over $3 billion in funds under management, Hejaz wanted to bring Islamic finance into mainstream financial services conversations, for which it has tasked the agency.

Hannah Moreno, founder and CEO of the agency, told Mumbrella the new wins reflect Third Hemisphere’s “deep understanding of the fintech and financial service sectors”.

She said: “They also highlight our ability to create compelling narratives that resonate with both mainstream and specialist audiences.

“We’re particularly proud to support innovative companies like Hejaz, OKX, and Vield that are driving positive change in the financial services industry.”

Third Hemisphere’s other clients include the recently-won Avani Solutions, Arc Ento Tech, and HB11 Energy, as revealed by Mumbrella in January, as well as Australian Payments Plus, the UN Global Compact Network Australia, and more.

The agency also recently appointed David Sharaz, Brittany Higgins’ husband, as its new director.

Moreno will be speaking at today’s Mumbrella CommsCon conference, alongside Third Hemisphere’s managing director Jeremy Liddle, DDB Sydney’s CSO Rupert Price, and Comms Declare’s founder Belinda Noble.
