Thought Underbelly beat Packed To The Rafters? You were wrong

Underbelly was not, after all, Australia’s most watched TV show last week, a final tally has revealed. It was narrowly beaten to that honour by the series finale of Packed To The Rafters.

The daily Oztam  TV ratings are only estimates of the five city metro audiences. And while last week saw Monday’s Underbelly on Nine comfortably ahead of Tuesday’s Rafter family on the metro front, when the regional figures came in, it put Seven’s warm family tale just ahead of the crime drama.

According to the final data for last week, which became available today, Underbelly picked up a metro audience of 2,069,000 and a regional audience of 690,000, making a total audience of 2,759,000.

This compared to Packed To The Rafters which pulled in a metro audience of 2,033,000 and regional audience of 809,000, giving it a final total of 2,842,000 – just 83,000 viewers ahead.
