Thred appoints Robyn Foyster to its board

Former Bauer Media publisher Robyn Foyster joins the board of software platform Thred.

The announcement:

A core component of Thred’s strategic plan is ensuring it recruits and retains the rights skills to conceive and execute its potential, both at the board and senior executive level.

Notwithstanding the requirement to effectively market the Company’s unique value proposition to consumers in due course, Thred firmly believes that its platform has major opportunities in the Media and Channel space.

In pursuit of these endeavours, your board is very pleased to announce to shareholders the appointment of Robyn Foyster to its board, effective the 27th of March 2017.

Robyn Foyster is the founder and CEO of Foyster Media – a multi-platform media company which owns The Carousel and Women Love Tech. Voted one of B&T’s 30 Most Powerful Women In Media at the 2015 Women in Media Awards, Robyn is an award-winning journalist, editor and media executive. She is the former Publisher and Editor of Australia’s three biggest flagship magazines – The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day and New Idea.

She was Group Publisher of Bauer Media Group’s most successful and prestigious magazines including Woman’s Day, Harper’s BAZAAR, Cosmopolitan, Grazia, Good Health and Madison.

Prior to that, Robyn was Lifestyle Editor for the Seven Network’s Sunrise and Editor-In-Chief of both The Australian Women’s Weekly and New Idea. Voted Editor of the Year at the 2007 Magazine of the Year Award, under her helm The Australian Women’s Weekly won the inaugural 2008 Australian Magazine Award for Australia’s best mass market magazine and New Idea won the MPA’s coveted Magazine of the Year award. At age 23, she worked on Fleet Street as a feature writer and consumer columnist at the News International newspaper Today in London. She also worked in Los Angeles as the US correspondent for Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast and later ran the entertainment desk for GMTV, Britain’s biggest breakfast show.
