Tic Toc uses celebrity impersonators in ‘Beware of Imposters’ campaign

Tic:Toc home loans have used impersonators of celebrities including Barack Obama, Elvis and Prince William to poke fun at lookalike online home loan application forms.

Created by The Twelfth Window, the out-of-home billboards highlight competing home loan companies who, the company claims, do not deliver on the promise of instant approval.

Katherine Paphitis, Tic:Toc’s marketing and communications manager, said in a statement: “Whilst they claim a home loan online and approval in minutes, none of it is true.

“Other ‘online’ providers digitise only part of the process, so while their application may begin online, it ends in the exact same way as every other traditional home loan process.”

Graham Johnson, joint founder and creative director at The Twelfth Window, said: “Our ’beware of imposters’ campaign is a tongue-in- cheek way of highlighting there is only one platform that can deliver real-time home loan approval online: Tic:Toc.
