Tide PR wins Sydney Dog Lovers Show client

PR agency Tide PR has won Sydney Dog Lovers Show as a client.

The announcement:

Tide PR, a Hardie Grant-backed agency, has been awarded the Sydney Dog Lovers Show publicity account following a competitive pitch.

Owned and organised by Event Management International (EMI), the hugely popular weekend spectacular will ‘bound back’ to Sydney Olympic Park from August 7th- 8th. After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the show’s return represents a major milestone on the Australian major events calendar.

Founder and CEO Jason Humphris said he was excited to launch the 2021 show with the backing of a new agency. “We feel so fortunate to have survived the challenges of the pandemic and are able to bring our beloved Show back to Sydney. With the public relations in the capable hands of the dynamic tide.pr team it is sure to be another howling success,” says Humphris.

Iconic show staples will make a triumphant return, including Black Hawk DockDogs (where competitive canines launch into a 100,000 litre pool in the massive Wood Chop Arena and splash adoring crowds) and Insta-Pooch where social media’s most popular four-legged starlets walk the red carpet.

The festival will play host to almost 1,000 dogs representing over 120 breeds, and will welcome many familiar faces, from Dr Katrina Warren and the Wonderdogs, to the talented team at Australian Working Dog Rescue running their adrenaline-pumped sheep herding speed trials and extreme dog high-jump.

“We are thrilled to start our working relationship with EMI and to have the opportunity to shine a light on one of Australia’s favourite events,” said Tide PR Director, Stacey McArdle.

The show could not come at a better time, following an influx of dog adoptions during last year’s lockdown. EMI developed the show with a mission to educate, entertain and inform all dog lovers and the August event will ensure new paw-rents are given tools to support their furry friends as the return to work continues.

The Dog Lovers Show account will be led by Tide PR Director Stacey McArdle, Account Director Tess Fisher and Account Manager Jasmine Burford. The agency, as part of the Hardie Grant Media network, provides PR, influencer and social media services in Sydney and Melbourne.
