TikTok Ad Awards set to return for 2025; entries open
TikTok’s celebration of creative and advertising excellence on its platform, the TikTok Ad Awards, is marking its return for 2025 by opening its entries.
An annual event, the awards provide an opportunity for partners and clients to receive accolades for their “high-performing paid ad campaigns” on the video creation platform.
The next ceremony introduces a new category, the Greatest Small Business Award, that acknowledges the efforts of the small businesses leveraging TikTok for their paid advertising endeavours.
“Whether it’s for an SMB, an established Australian brand, or a new disruptor entering the market, TikTok is the home of effective marketing campaigns that help brands connect with consumers and grow their business,” the platform’s general manager of global business solutions for Australia and New Zealand, Brett Armstrong, said.
When speaking on the award’s new accolade, Armstrong said: “Our new category, the Greatest Small Business Award, celebrates the 350,000 small businesses of all shapes and sizes on TikTok that are making a significant impact through paid advertising.
“Our partners continue to push the boundaries of creativity, delivering outstanding campaigns, and I’m excited to see the quality of entries this year.”
TikTok has opened entries for the event’s five categories, inciting small businesses, partner, agencies and brands to throw their names in the running. Excluding the above-mentioned small business accolade, the categories include the following:
- Greatest For Good Award – focused on campaigns that leveraged TikTok’s entertainment power to facilitate social impact.
- Greatest Performance Campaign – focused on brands that incorporated TikTok into “their performance marketing strategy”, and received outstanding results.
- Greatest Brand Effectiveness Campaign – focused on brands that have “delivered best in class brand building outcomes through paid activity” on the platform.
- Greatest Creative Campaign – focused on brands that have pushed “the boundaries of creativity on TikTok and embodied the platform’s golden rules for success.”
Hopeful nominees can enter for the awards at its website, with the entry window closing on November 14, 2024, at 11:59pm AEDT.
Eligible campaigns are required to have run “between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024” for any length of time.
The names of the shortlisted entities will be unveiled in January 2025, with the ceremony expected to take place on February 19, 2025, in Sydney.
