Tim Williamson joins Nightingale Communications

Nightingale Communications has appointed Weber Shandwick’s  Tim Williamson into a senior role.  

The announcement:

Melbourne, 25th May 2010 – Specialist financial, investor relations and corporate communications advisory firm nightingale communications has expanded its team with the appointment of former BBC journalist and Brunswick Associate Tim Williamson.

Prior to joining nightingale Williamson was Vice President, Corporate at Weber Shandwick Australia, based in Sydney, leading corporate, crisis & issues and financial communications for clients including HSBC, iSOFT, Asia Pulp & Paper, QBE LMI, Lendlease, Bristow Helicopters Australia and Temasek Holdings.

At Brunswick, one of the world’s leading financial and corporate communications consultancies, Williamson worked with retained clients including National Grid, Rolls-Royce, Reckitt Benckiser, Reuters, Prudential, Tradition Financial Services, St James’s Place Capital Wealth Management, 3 UK and BBC Worldwide.

Williamson’s issues and crisis experience includes working with Bristow Helicopters Australia to develop their crisis and issues response protocols, dealing with ‘whistleblower’ documentaries, advising on complex trade disputes, and engaging with stakeholders over regulatory reform. His financial and transactional experience includes BlueBay Asset Management’s London Stock Exchange listing, National Grid/Keyspan, National Grid’s disposal of Basslink, EMI/Warner Music, BBC Worldwide’s acquisition of Lonely Planet, Avtovaz/Renault and Schering/Bayer. He also worked with Reckitt Benckiser and National Grid on their sustainability strategies including Reckitt Benckiser’s Carbon 20 and Our Home Our Planet initiatives.

Prior to a career in corporate communications Williamson was a business journalist for the BBC and Bloomberg.
