Today beats Sunrise, Seven wins another low-rating Thursday

Thursdays remain a lacklustre night in the TV ratings as only two shows got over the million mark last night.

Seven News won the night with 1.116m. The network also took both second and third place with Beauty and the Geek on 1.02m and Home and Away on 999,000, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

However Nine’s Today got one over on Sunrise. Today pulled in 384,000 while Sunrise drew 376,000.

Seven and Nine were close in terms of channel share, with Seven just edging out Nine, 19.3% to 18.2%.

In its second last episode, The Slap was the ABC’s highest show, placing 7th with 832,000, down from last week’s 906,000 in 6th place.

Meanwhile Ten fell short of the top 15 by one, with Rush ranking 16th with 656,000.

Despite this, Ten just slipping ahead of the ABC on channel share, 14.8% to 14%.
