Today in New York edges closer to Sunrise while Charlie’s Angels gets shifted to Go!

Today edged closer to Sunrise yesterday with only 5,000 viewers separating the two. The Nine show is being broadcast live from New York this week.   

Seven’s Sunrise received 359,000 with Today on 354,000, according to preliminary metro ratings from OzTam.

The live broadcast kicked off on Monday with a heavily promoted performance by Beyonce in Central Park throughout the morning. It later emerged the performance was recorded by Good Morning America some months ago.

Later in the day, still on Nine, the third episode of Charlie’s Angels was bumped to digital channel Go!. Its first two episodes over the last fortnight pulled 815,000 and 639,000 respectively.

The gap was replaced by two repeat episodes of The Big Bang Theory which received 955,000 and 983,000. At 8:30 Two and a Half Men regained some ground on last week with 1.034 million as did Joy of Sets which followed with a low 488,000.

Seven had the top five shows of the night with family drama Packed To The Rafters the most-watched show with 1.546 million.
