Topham Guerin names APAC managing director from NHS campaign

Topham Guerin has appointed Sam Newton as its APAC managing director.

The announcement:

With over a decade of experience under his belt, it’s his work on the award-winning NHS campaign ‘Stay Home Save Lives’ that Sam Newton is most proud of “We literally saved lives! What more could you ask for?”

Newton is passionate about marketing and excited about leading teams to deliver high impact, dynamic campaigns. He joined TG London from WPP AUNZ Ogilvy Melbourne, where he worked on campaigns for Australia’s largest insurance company, AAMI. He’s also led on campaigns for Parmalat, BMW, AFL, NRL and Coca-Cola. Now his list of clients extends to Lloyds Banking Group and Vodafone.

In his new role as Managing Director for APAC, based in TG’s Sydney office, his focus will be delivering the same rigour and enthusiasm to the APAC business where the current roster of clients includes IC Markets, BusinessNZ, Lifesize Plans, Arthritis NZ, Cure Ovarian Cancer, Vertical Logistics and the Business Council of Australia to name a few.

Ben Guerin, Topham Guerin Founding Partner says: “Sam is a dynamo. His relentless pursuit of excellence knows no bounds and we could not be more excited to have him oversee TG’s expansion across the APAC region.”

Sean Topham, Topham Guerin Founding Partner says: “Sam is exactly what we need in our Sydney office to ensure that we continue to grow and offer our clients the top-notch service they deserve.”

Says Newton: “I’m thrilled to be part of the TG family during this period of growth. They have a young, dynamic and fresh way of thinking – in TG words, they do Digital Differently.”

Since joining the team, he has implemented a range of new hires and secured several new clients. More announcements on this to come.
