Meanest quiz question ever
Does it mean you’ve made it if you become a question on a popular teatime quiz show?
That was the question Dr Mumbo found himself asking last night when he discovered Mumbrella was the subject of one of the questions on Channel Seven’s The Chase. The conclusion: probably only if the contestant gets the answer right.
“What word based on Umbrella is the name of an Australian media website?” barked host Andrew O’Keefe at the bemused looking contestant, who unsurprisingly decided to “pass”that one.

It’s worth watching the nine-second clip just to hear AOK’s intonation as he says the word ‘Mumbrella’, and the fact the contestant still looks none the wiser.
Either the quizmasters are serious fans of the site, or they hoped to get a bit of a plug (in which case they won).
Always nice to find new fans.
Of course, there is another option: that the authors were having a hard time coming up with questions.

Safe to say that the question would never appear on Family Feud.
