Murdoch: national marketing and strategy manager – fleet at Toyota Motor Corporation

Murdoch will manage the PR, sponsorship, and advertising for the brand’s business offering, Toyota Fleet, as well as the PR for charity events held at Qudos Bank Arena.

Murdoch spent the past 18 months as Toyota’s retail marketing and communications manager, but the company is yet to announce who will take over the role.

Previously, Murdoch worked for Harley-Davidson Motor Company as the marketing and communications coordinator and PR and media executive.

Murdoch told Mumbrella: “Right now we are in the planning phases of the year, but we do currently have some advertising plans with association press, our B2B partners, and additionally we are exploring some small business opportunities a little bit later on in the year as well.

“Currently I am working with our team on the consumer road show, where we invite our fleet guests in and introduce them to our new products, or our existing product that would be relevant to their business,” she said.

When asked about the future Murdoch said: “The fleet part of the business at Toyota is something we really value to our contribution towards the business and we are the largest fleet automotive business in the country. We really pride ourselves on top-level customer experiences and making sure we provide our customers with the most important and relevant business requirements for their fleet, so we look forward to continuing to strengthen those relationships and expand our opportunities to help even more businesses with their needs.”

Toyota is currently working with a few charities and is open to upcoming sponsorship opportunities in 2017.

“We hope to see year-on-year improvements with our fleet customers and we hope to continue to build our already really strong relationships with our customers and we continue to align with Toyota activities and our branding and deliver on opportunities that come up for the brand and continue to deliver really outstanding service to our customers both future and existing.”

The position was previously held by Christine Ege for three years. Toyota is yet to confirm whether she will be returning to the company after taking time off for maternity leave.
