Toyota has released its new work ‘Making Music with Toyota’ as part of its ‘Made for Mondays’ campaign, where a song is produced using various car parts and sounds produced within the car.

The campaign starts with an electro and Latin-inspired track which was created using the Toyota 86 bonnet to head the rhythm, followed by bouncing a spare tyre repetitively, using the electric seat and finally flicking the rim of a tyre.
The four sounds are then combined to create one three-minute song which features in one long form five minute video, and a shorter fifty-five second video.
The short video proceeds to show the streets of Sydney as if you, the viewer, were in a car, some from a birds’ eye view, backed to the track created by Toyota cars themselves.

The campaign by Toyota is not the first to use cars as an instrument, seeing Ford create a car orchestra in 2008 and band OK Go create a song using the car as its background music.
The new videos will form part of Toyota’s YouTube homepage.
