TPG Telecom’s new mobile brand appoints This is Flow to media account

TPG Telecom’s new sim-only mobile brand, Felix Mobile, has appointed independent agency This is Flow to its media account after a competitive pitch.

The agency will handle media strategy, planning, and buying for the business, which was born out of the recent TPG and Vodafone merger and will launch at the end of the year.

“It’s extremely rewarding to pitch for a business that has an innovative ‘start-up’ mindset, a great product, and values so powerful that they can actually change the world,” said This is Flow’s CEO and founder, Jimmy Hyett, who earlier this year became the independent representative on the Media Federation of Australia board.

“This type of client brings out so much passion and energy through the whole agency, and it’s been reflected by the quality of work the team has delivered from pitch right through the planning stages to launch.”

Felix will be targeted at environmentally conscious consumers, according to the company, with general manager of business development, Paul Tierney, adding that it was important its agency partner had a similar vision.

“Early on in the pitch process, This Is Flow demonstrated the skills and expertise that we were looking for to support the emerging brand,” Tierney said.

“This is Flow has been instrumental in launching Felix and shares a similar vision for the future of the brand, so we’re very excited to see what we can achieve together for Felix.”

At the start of the year, This is Flow also hired a digital lead.
