Travel Guides tops entertainment but Big Brother claims key demos

Nine’s Travel Guides was the top ratings non-news program on Wednesday night, with 662,000 metro viewers, but Seven claimed the night as Big Brother topped all three key advertising demos.

Big Brother was #1 in 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, despite its metro audience of 602,000 placing it behind Travel Guides and ABC’s Hard Quiz (661,000 metro viewers) overall.

The performance of Big Brother, as well as the evening’s top rating program overall, Seven News, helped the network to a 29.2% share. That placed Seven ahead of Nine’s 26.2%, Ten’s 18.9% and the ABC’s 17.5% in network share.

Seven News aired to 1.047 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6.30 with 1.012 million metro viewers and Nine News with 1 million metro viewers rounding out the top three.
