Travel Marketing Summit locks in full program as new sessions unveiled
The program for Mumbrella’s 2025 Travel Marketing Summit is now complete, with two new sessions confirmed that spotlight the power of partnerships to drive passion, loyalty and performance.
In ‘The Rise of Sporting Tourism’, IHG Hotels and Resorts’ VP of commercial for East Asia and Pacific, Dean Jones, will be joined by Tourism Australia’s general manager, PR, content and social, Anita Godbeer, and News Corp’s head of commercial content, news sport and prestige, Jess Montague.

As nearly a third (30%) of Aussies are planning to travel for a sporting event this year, the session will explore how partnerships are helping brands tap into the emotional pull of sport.
They will provide marketers with tangible lessons on turning big sporting moments, like the British and Irish Lions Tour, into long-term advocacy.
The conference will also host a discussion on fandom, in a session which brings together Florencia Aimo, VP of marketing at Mastercard, and Matt Bailey, general manager of media and brand partnerships at Luxury Escapes.
The pair will be joined on stage by Sarah Davidson, a lifestyle influencer with 132,000 Instagram followers, and a Luxury Escapes host.

They will unpack how deeply integrated brand collaborations, fuelled by experience and content, are creating travel fandom at scale. Sharing practical case studies, they will share their playbook in establishing, activating, and growing partnerships.
Other recently announced sessions include ‘Marketing for Growth in a ‘Polycrisis’’, where The Growth Distillery’s Dan Krigstein will examine how multi-layered global crises, from economic instability to genocide and environmental threats, are reshaping consumer sentiment and decision-making.
Global Rev Gen’s chief brand officer Bosco Anthony will also take to the stage, offering a high-velocity walkthrough of the technologies his team is using today, from predictive chatbots and robotic booking agents to creative intelligence engines that optimise campaigns before they even launch.
Other travel industry leaders confirmed on the bill include Tourism Tasmania’s chief marketing officer, Lindene Cleary; South Australian Tourism Commission’s executive director marketing, Erik de Roos; and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi’s sector marketing director, Emma Campbell.
Tourism Australia’s chief marketing officer Susan Coghill will also take to the stage on the eve of the organisation’s new iteration of ‘Come and Say G’Day’. Other brands due to speak include Mudgee Region Tourism, Journey Beyond, and Intrepid Travel.
The 2025 Travel Marketing Summit returns to Sydney on August 28 2025.
