Treasury Wine Estates appoints Michelle Terry as CMO in marketing restructure

Global wine maker Treasury Wine Estates has appointed Michelle Terry as CMO in a restructure of its marketing operations which has seen long serving executive Simon Marton leave the company.

Terry became chief marketer of Treasury Wines’ Lindemans Estate after the company was demerged from the Fosters Brewing Group in 2011. In July last year, she relocated to the US to take the lead the company’s North American marketing operations.

In the restructure, which Mumbrella understands took place in March, Treasury Wine Estates’ global marketing operations will be managed from the US office with Melbourne based Angus Lilley answering to Terry.

Lilley’s regional marketing responsibilities will cover Australia New Zealand, South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

In the reshuffle, incumbent CMO Simon Marton will leave the company. Marton was appointed to the position following a previous management reshuffle in 2013.

Treasury Wine Estates was declined to comment about the changes when approached by Mumbrella.
