Triple M nominated for Worldwide Radio Summit Industry Awards

Southern Cross Austereo station Triple M Melbourne is in the running for the title of ‘Most Innovative International Radio Station’ at the Worldwide Radio Summit Industry Awards taking place in Hollywood in April.

The announcement:

Triple M Melbourne has been nominated under the ‘Most Innovative International Radio Station’ category in the Worldwide Radio Summit Industry Awards 2014.

The 4th Annual WWRS, which will be held at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood on Friday 4th April, recognises international radio excellence and brings global radio influencers to the US market to meet with the music and radio communities.

Triple M Melbourne (105.1 FM), which is home to The Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Mick Molloy, is up against four other finalists – 93.5 Red FM in India, and CIHT-FM, CKFM, and CKMP in Canada.

This will be the first time Triple M Melbourne has been nominated in the WWRS Industry Awards and voting will run until February 23rd 2014.

Head of the Triple M Network Mike Fitzpatrick said: “It’s an honour to be nominated as an innovative radio station by the WWRS. We’re proud of the content we create which combined with sports broadcasting and a passion for real music makes Triple M Melbourne unique.
