The announcement:

NOVA Entertainment today announced another key addition to the Nova and smoothfm on-air lineup.

Troy Ellis, one of the radio industry’s most respected radio announcers, will join Nova and smoothfm from March, filling a floating position across both networks.

With over 24 years’ media experience, including 10 and a half years with Channel Seven and in excess of 20 years in radio, most recently Ellis hosted Gold FM’s breakfast show.

Ellis is a highly-experienced broadcaster, spending over 12 years as part of one of Melbourne’s longest running and successful breakfast shows on Fox FM before joining ARN in December 2014.

Peter Clay, Head of Programming Nova 96.9 and smoothfm Network said, “Opportunities like these do not present themselves every day and I am thrilled to jump at the chance to add Troy to our exceptional line up of talented presenters.”

“One of my priorities has been to get the best people in the business that complement our culture at NOVA Entertainment and Troy is a great fit.”

Utilising his versatility and experience across multiple program formats, Ellis will join Nova and smoothfm’s on air line up from Monday 5 March.

Troy Ellis said, “This is an amazing opportunity with NOVA Entertainment, a media company I’ve admired and respected for years. It’s a truly unique chance to work across both the hugely successful Nova and smoothfm networks and it’s not often things line up to make something like this possible, but they have and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to start on air.”
