TV presenters join Peter Greste campaign
Some of Australia’s best known TV journalists and personalities have appeared on a campaign poster in support of jailed Australian journalist Peter Greste.
The poster shows them covering their mouths along with the message #FreeAJStaff. Greste and two other Al Jazeera English journalists were jailed by a Cairo court this week.
Among the journalists featured on the poster are Lee Lin Chin, Tony Jones, Ita Butrose, Joe Hildebrand, Kerry O’Brien, Hugh Riminton, Karl Stefanovic, Ben Fordham, Natalie Barr, Andrew O’Keefe, Kylie Gillies, George Negus and Larry Emdur.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.
