TV program ratings for week 32

The finale of Australia’s Got Talent on Tuesday 2 August saw Network Seven win the ratings across Week 32 (Sunday 31 July – Saturday August 6).

Teen singer Jack Vigden wasn’t the only big winner as the program was also the highest rating show this year.

The nationwide talent quest took 3.912million (metro+regional), which was no surprise as the show has rated strongly all year. Australia’s Got Talent also rated second with 3.146million (metro+regional) in its first half hour of the Tuesday.

The Sunday episode of Nine’s The Block rounded out the podium with 2.381million.

Masterchef still managed a respectable 2,043,000  against Tuesday’s talent extravaganza ranking tenth overall for the week. In the countdown of finals week, the cooking show snared five of the top ten places with Sunday’s show ranking 4th at 2,303,000, 5th on Thursday at 2,248,000, 6th on Wednesday with 2,234,000, and 9th on Monday with 2,043,000.

In eighth place, Nine News Sunday secured 2,188,000.

19. The Block (Wednesday) – Nine – 1,653,000
20. Nine News – Nine – 1,565,000
