TV Wrap: Ten’s The Traitors launches to 257k as Nine wins the week

Nine’s The Block has kicked off the week in the top spot for Sunday night’s programming, assisting the network to win overall share for the evening.

Meanwhile, Nine came out in front for the week ending beat Seven in the week ending 15 October, with a network share of 29.5%, just pipping Seven’s 28.6%, while Ten finished the week on 16.8% share, followed by ABC on 16.7%.

Nine also won the primary channel share for the week, with a 21.1%, just beating out Seven’s 20.2%, while the top multi-channel for the week was 7TWO on 3.6%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 9 October, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.713 million viewers, including 58,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 4%.

The program with the biggest uplift was an episode of ABC’s Savage River with an uplift of 62% and had a total of 827,000 viewers overall, and BVOD audience of 15,400 nationally.

Looking again to Sunday’s overnights, Australia’s Got Talent on Seven came next in entertainment, bringing in 556,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC’s Spicks and Specks on 490,000, then Significant Other, also on ABC, with 369,000.

Last night also saw the launch of Ten’s new format, The Traitors, which was tuned into by 257,000 metro viewers, ahead of Murder in the Goldfields on Seven, with 243,000 metro viewers, and ABC’s Silent Witness, on 223,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News won overall TV viewing on Sunday night with 1.085 million metro viewers, followed by Nine News with 736,000 metro viewers.60 Minutes brought in 567,000 metro views, and ABC News brought in 536,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 32.9% over Seven’s 27.8%, while the ABC had a share of 17.4%, and 10 took a 13.8% share.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 7Mate with a share of 3%.
