Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainmen and Hopscotch/eOne partners

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has partnered with Hopscotch/Entertainment One to increase product portfolio.

The announcement:

SYDNEY/TORONTO – March 9th, 2012 –The Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE) and Hopscotch/Entertainment One (Hopscotch/eOne) partnership continues to grow with the announcement it will be home to one of the UK’s most successful pre-school brand’s Peppa Pig among other key eOne franchises.

The transition to Fox of selected titles will begin April 1, however May heralds the release of the hugely popular pre-school brand Peppa Pig.  The re-promotion of existing titles plus a brand new  DVD release will be supported by a  substantial sales and marketing push across both DVD and merchandise.

Hopscotch/eOne will also bring into the fold some of the hottest properties on TV including FX Channel’s The Walking Dead which launched on Australian TV on February 26th following its global success.  Also in the new line-up is Hell on Wheels which along with Jason Priestley’s Call Me Fitz formed part of the marketing and promotional campaign for the channel launch. The cult sci-fi hit Sanctuary will also be part of the home entertainment slate in 2012.

“We are thrilled to bring these titles into our growing library. The team here is enormously passionate about Peppa Pig and Fox has a great track record in children’s theatrical titles,” Jude Troy, managing director of Hopscotch/eOne Home Entertainment said.

“We already have a very strong TV on DVD portfolio which complements titles like The Walking Dead. We are really looking forward to working these new additions to the slate.”

Prior to the Hopscotch acquisition, eOne had enjoyed a sales and distribution deal through Beyond Home Entertainment.
