My Kitchen Rules wins third night in a row
My Kitchen Rules won the ratings for the third night in a row for Seven on Wednesday.
It’s the strongest performance so far this series from the cooking show, taking 1.5m across the five city metro, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.
Nine’s Twenty/20 Cricket match between Australia and India came second with 1.46m, with Seven News coming third, rating 1.176m.
With the cricket running over time, the repeat of Excess Baggage’s debut Monday night episode went to air an hour later than scheduled, from 10:30pm to 11:30pm, averaging approximately 200,000 viewers.
The Biggest Loser, which aired on Ten at 7pm, took 756,000 – up on Tuesday’s 711,000.
The night also saw the return of Ten’s comedy gameshow Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, which placed 12th, rating 678,000.
Interesting point to note re Excess Bagage…. it actually started at 11:25pm.
So the hour recorded by OZTAM is actually for the final hour of the cricket.
Can we have an updated post when we see it’s actual encore number …

The amended figures I saw on Mediaweek gave EB 201,000 last night for the ENCORE (AKA – the ratings were really shit for the premiere – let’s hope more bastards watch it this time around) screening.

Hi Guys
As pointed out, the cricket running over time skewed the ratings for Excess Baggage dramatically. The story is now amended.
Cheers,

After being constantly exposed to those terrible MKR tv ads in the Aussie Open ad breaks I refuse to watch it and cannot stand the sight of that brunette girl.
Let’s hope that saying doesn’t catch on to all those Lady GaGa copycats.
