OMD Word promotes communications directors to head OMD Word in Sydney

OMD Word have promoted former communications directors at OMD Fuse Jez Clark and Thomas Hutley to jointly head up OMD Word for the Sydney office.

The announcement:

OMD have today announced the re-structure of their social media offering, OMD WORD, with the promotion of two senior staff. Jez Clark and Thomas Hutley, former Communications Directors in OMD’s branded content group, OMD Fuse, have been promoted to jointly head up OMD WORD for the Sydney office.

With 7 years media experience, Jez Clark has been leading social strategy work across Sony Computer Entertainment, Tourism Australia, Luxbet and Intel.

Joining him to head up the OMD WORD division, Thomas Hutley with 7 years’ experience has spent the last 2 years leading the McDonald’s Australia and V Energy Australia social media accounts. He has also managed a wide range of sponsorship and branded content projects across McDonald’s Australia, Barilla and Sony Mobile.

Together, Jez and Tom developed and managed the ‘Big Mac Farm Challenge’ social media campaign, which was shortlisted for the 2012 Digital Asia Festival ‘Best use of Social Media’ and more recently, The Festival of Media 2013 ‘Best Social Media Campaign’.

In their new role, Jez and Thomas will report into Joanne Liddell, Head of OMD Fuse Sydney, and will be responsible for driving social media education, strategy and integration for OMD Sydney clients.

Both promotions are effective immediately.
