Liam Loan-Lack has been appointed general manager of UM Brisbane, effective immediately.

He joins UM’s senior leadership team, and will report to CEO Fiona Johnston.

“Liam brings a new level of care, smarts and energy to a great market, and much-valued rigour and passion to do the best work for our clients,” said Johnston.

“I think Brisbane is often overlooked as a key market, but we see it very much as a stronghold to innovate and lead.”

Loan-Lack’s career has spanned marketing, strategy, agency management and advertising effectiveness. Most recently, he directed a client portfolio that included Officeworks, ME Bank, ACTU and Specsavers at UM’s sister agency, Initiative.

“I have been attracted to the Queensland market for some time as I firmly believe it has the potential to be the most creative and client-centric market in Australia,” Loan-Lack said in a statement.

“I will be taking all the lessons, humility and curiosity that has helped build my career so far into this new role.”
