Umoja: Where Women Run Wild wins AIDC F4 award

Umoja Where Women Run WildElizabeth Tadic’s Umoja: Where Women Run Wild has won the F4 Award for Outstanding New Documentary at the Australian International Documentary Conference in Adelaide.

F4 – AIDC’s new First Factual Films Festival – had more than 80 entries from first-time documentary makers.The winner was selected by Richard Sowada, head of film programs at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image; Edwina Waddy, development producer at ABC TV; Flora Gregory, Editor for Witness at Al Jazeera English; Esther van Messel, CEO of First Hand Films; and filmmaker Tom Zubrycki.

A special mention went to Telen Rodwell and Bronwyn Purvis’ Drive.
