TV ratings: Under the Hammer limps to the finish while Undercover Boss stays strong
Seven’s property show Under The Hammer limped to a close with its final audience slipping to just 905,000 on Monday night.
The network’s other series final RSPCA Animal Rescue also failed to break the million mark, bringing in 990,000 viewers, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from Oz Tam.
Despite an overall win for the night, Seven will be hoping for stronger ratings in the vacated slots next week when The X Factor kicks off.
A success story on Monday was Ten’s Undercover Boss, which pulled in 1.3m.
For Nine, Rescue Special Ops was another show the wrong side of 1m, averaging 951,000 whilst the series return of The Secret Millionaire at 9.30pm reached an average of 776,000 viewers. It was beaten in the slot by Seven’s Covert Affairs (904,000).
In breakfast television Seven’s Sunrise (402,000) continued to dominate Nine’s Today Show (326,000). And Seven’s The Morning Show rated 189,000 viewers – beating Nine’s KAK (113,000) and Ten’s The Circle (69,000) combined.
