UnDigital and NSW Gov’s Landcom launch digital tender portal

The NSW Government’s land and property development organisation, Landcom, has partnered with UnDigital to launch a new tender portal with a focus on user experience.

The customer experience and digital marketing agency designed and developed an online tender portal that addressed pain points that come up during a typical tender process, creating a functional platform for Landcom users.

Landcom and UnDigital began the project by identifying the complexities of conducting a tender process, from explaining all its requirements to vendors, to collecting and evaluating all submissions under strict probity rules.

Landcom also engaged with key stakeholders to understand their experiences with online tendering services. After reviewing off-the-shelf solutions, Landcom decided on UnDigital for their portal’s ability to be custom-built and repurposed as necessary.

The platform’s capabilities include; the ability to consolidate and view all documents, stamp downloaded documents with a date and time, ability for participants to log questions, easy lodgement of responses, secure submission box and custom or broadcast email communications with participants.

Director of corporate marketing and communications at Landcom, Andrew Mossie, said: “The tender portal has streamlined our processes and made the tender process so much more efficient. This new platform is capable of managing multiple tenders, across multiple internal assessment teams with a high degree of automation.

“The new customer-centric tender portal has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback by our customers and staff who appreciate the simplicity that has been achieved.”

Landcom has already conducted three live tenders since the launch of the portal.

UnDigital co-founder and digital experience director Andrew Cornale said: “Creating this tender portal has allowed us to alleviate multiple pain points for Landcom.

“We’ve been working with the team for a long time and this project slotted in perfectly with the other digital solutions we’ve provided in the past. We look forward to seeing how the tender portal continues to create efficiencies while cutting costs in future.”
