Updated: KFC CMO Kristi Woolrych promoted; Sally Spriggs steps into acting role
Chief marketing officer at KFC in the South Pacific, Kristi Woolrych has been promoted to the role of general manager in the region, after four years in her role. Mumbrella can reveal that Sally Spriggs has stepped up as acting CMO.
KFC, part of Yum! Brands said that Woolrych, who has been KFC CMO since 2018 has “extensive experience” with the brand, which will help strengthen the business locally.
KFC told Mumbrella that Sally Spriggs, previously group marketing director of KFC APAC has taken on the role of acting CMO for KFC SOPAC.
“We wish Richard, Kristi and Sally the best of luck in their new roles,” the brand said to Mumbrella.
Spriggs has been with KFC for the past 15 years.
With that, former general manager and managing director of KFC SOPAC, Richard Wallis has moved into a new role that will see him lead the business in the APAC region as managing director.
Woolrych joined KFC as chief marketing director in the SOPAC region in 2018, shortly after she stepped down from Suncorp after 16 years with the insurer. She was replaced by former M&C Saatchi GM, Mim Haysom.
Woolrych replaced then-acting CMO Annabel Fribence, who stayed with the brand before being appointed as Westpac CMO in H2 last year.
Under Woolrych this year, the fast food chain launched a KFC a degustation restaurant to Sydney with an 11-course menu for a fine dining experience.
