V Energy and 20th Century Fox have launched a limited edition motivational book to celebrate the release of Deadpool 2.

8th May 2018-TKT Sydney, V Energy and 20th Century Fox are celebrating the cinematic release of Deadpool 2 in cinemas May 16, with a new limited-edition motivational book, ‘Find the potential within,’ written by the merc with the mouth himself, Deadpool.
Launching exclusively at Sydney CBD’s Kinoyuka bookstore on Free Comic Book Day (Saturday, 5 May), 300 copies of Deadpool’s debut book were made available for punters, in the hopes of providing them with refreshing answers to many of life’s challenges.
However, with Deadpool losing interest in writing the book after one chapter, V Energy came to the rescue and placed the key to a better you between the pages, providing readers with a can of V Energy that’ll have them feeling more like Deadpool and less like the people that get in his way.
V Energy Brand Manager, Chris Henbrey, said, “Deadpool is certainly a character. When the idea of writing a book came up, he was all for it…until he realised what was involved. So, we stepped in and are providing punters with a massive hit that improves you a bit, and saving them from the self-help babble.”
TKT Sydney’s Copywriter, James Beswick added, “Ollie [Beeston] and I have found it awesome working with the Deadpool writers and playing around with his sarcastic, meta, and innuendo-laden tone and help create what might possibly be the laziest motivational book since, ever!”
The book complements the broader Deadpool and V Energy partnership, which includes 15s and 6s social videos rolled out across V Energy’s owned channels and Fandom, with digital, OOH and PR activity also supplementing the campaign.
