Val Morgan appoints national sales director for new digital publishing arm

Val Morgan’s new digital division has got its first national sales director in Adam Fischer who joins from Ziff Davis where he worked across IGN, Mashable and PC Mag as group head of sales.

Fischer will lead the national digital sales team and report into managing director of the digital arm, Brian Florido, who joined the business in September.

Fischer is the latest addition to the Val Morgan Digital team

The cinema and outdoor business launched its digital arm in August, making its first move into digital publishing with a product which would be ‘contemporary entertainment, lifestyle and health’.

Florido, who joined the business from Pedestrian Group where he was managing director, said the appointment of Fischer was an important next step in Val Morgan Digital’s development.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Adam on board as we diversify the Val Morgan business into digital publishing. Val Morgan Digital is in an exciting stage of development and we’re delighted to have Adam join our expanding team and help drive commercial growth for the business.”

Val Morgan Digital joins over 12,000 location-based digital advertising screens in the Val Morgan network, the company’s cinema network, including Hoyts and Event, and a partnership with Fandom, the world’s largest entertainment fan site.

On his appointment, Fischer said: “It’s a privilege to join the Val Morgan team and I’m looking forward to taking our new digital proposition to market. The full identity of Val Morgan Digital’s publishing platform is yet to be announced.
