Val Morgan bolsters strategy team with new national head of strategy and several promotions

Val Morgan’s client solutions and group strategy division, BrandFit, has undergone some changes with several promotions and a new strategic hire.

Jo Scott, an ex-Starcom Australia national head of design experience, has signed on to serve as Val Morgan’s national head of strategy. With more than a decade’s worth of experience working in business and strategy for companies within Australia and the United Kingdom, Scott’s new job will require her to “work across the Val Morgan Group of brands including Val Morgan Cinema, VMO and Val Morgan Digital”.

Scott will report to the organisation’s director of strategy and marketing, Paul MacGregor.

“I’m excited to join Val Morgan, their business momentum, people-first culture and commitment to sustainability initiatives will be an environment I can thrive in,” Scott said.

“Across the group, the business has an incredible set of opportunities for brands and I’m thrilled about joining this amazing team to bring a fresh approach to our work with partners and clients.”

MacGregor added: “Over the last two years, our partnership revenue has gone from strength to strength, we’re thrilled to bring Jo on board to lead our strategy team and continue driving this momentum.

“Jo brings a wealth of experience to the Val Morgan business and her unique combination of strategy, creativity, and leadership skills will be critical in delivering greater value to our partners and more innovative solutions to our clients.”

The advertising organisation has also actioned numerous internal promotions.

After a five-year stint at Nine, Lizzy McDonald, who joined Val Morgan in 2021 as a strategy manager, has now stepped into the role of group strategy manager. Diana Demetri has also been announced as group client solutions manager with a duty to oversee “the post-sale implementation” for Val Morgan Digital’s publishing portfolio containing BuzzFeed, POPSUGAR, Fandom, and more.

Similarly, Christelle Quillien’s group client solutions manager role will grow to encompass the post-sale implementation team across the Cinema and Outdoor businesses.

Ben Foyster and Cassandra De Francesco have also been awarded promotions, with both becoming client solutions managers. Meanwhile, Carat’s Eden Cloeraine has joined the strategy team as a strategy executive.

On Val Morgan’s new talent and growth, MacGregor said: “Our ambition has always been to build the best strategy and client solutions team in ANZ. The progress and development of our current team, alongside the addition of these exceptionally talented new members, supercharges our mission to achieve this goal.”
