Val Morgan’s ACES returns

Val Morgan return with the Australian Creative Excellence Showcase awarding cinema/TVC based campaigns.

The announcement:

Val Morgan has announced the second Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES) following on from the success of the first event held earlier this year.

Hot on the heels of the global Cannes Lions, the ACES recognise the best in local Australian creative audio visual campaigns. The winning creative will be awarded the prestigious ACE of Excellence and a cinema media schedule to the value of $25,000.

In announcing the call for entries, Val Morgan CEO Damian Keogh said, “More than ever before engaging creative is vital to the success of advertising campaigns. There is so much commercial clutter around today and technology is making it easier for consumers to avoid advertising. Great creative has cut through, gets noticed and engages audiences. The ACES is designed to recognize and reward great creative ideas and execution.”

BWM Executive Creative Director Rob Belgiovane will also be returning as ACES Jury Chairman. “The inaugural ACES was a big success, so I am expecting even more entries this time round. I am looking forward to seeing the creative that’s submitted; there’s certainly some fantastic campaigns running so I think the competition is going to be very strong…and having just seen some of the outstanding opportunities emerging via new technology in cinema in Cannes, I’m very excited to be returning as ACES Chairman,” said Belgiovane.

The ACES are free to enter and are being held in conjunction with supporting partner Adstream and media partner AdNews.

The ACES awards will take place in Sydney on the 5th of September at Gold Class Event Cinema George Street. The closing date for entries is 10th August 2012.
