Victoria Police ‘You’re More Suited Than You Might Think’ recruitment campaign promotes policing careers
Victoria Police has launched a recruitment campaign which tells Australians ‘You’re More Suited Than You Might Think’ and promotes the life of a police officer.
Created by The Shannon Company the television commercials promote the salary, work-life balance and generous leave Victorian police receive.
The 30 second spot features a barista and businesses woman conducting their day-to-day uneventful jobs while scenes of police fighting crime flash over the screen.
Ian Forsyth, managing partner at The Shannon Company, said the campaign aims to get the attention of people who may have previously considered a career with Victoria Police.
“We know that many of us have seen recruitment campaigns in the past have thought that they weren’t really aimed at us, or had given the career a quick thought but moved on.
“This campaign highlights that many people are far more suited to police work than they might think, and features the practical benefits including paid training, a healthy starting salary, work/life friendly rosters, and of course the opportunity to make a difference to the community.”

Re the vic police recruitment advertisement- it may attract the wrong calibre of people who are only motivated by the good pay, generous leave and work/life balance. Should you not be looking to recruit someone whose heart is into serving the community and maintaining law and order?
