Virtual Mumbrella Audioland conference launches with Veritonic international speaker plus Eardrum and SCA

Veritonic Inc US-based founder and CEO, Scott Simonelli, is the first international speaker locked-in as Mumbrella’s Audioland conference confirms its returning on October 13 as a virtual event.

Simonelli will be joined by Matt Dickson, The Studio at SCA’s national head of creativity, to deliver exclusive research in their session ‘Australia’s Strongest Audio Brands’.

Simonelli and Dickson will explore creativity in audio branding, best practices, and how Australia ranks compared to the rest of the globe.

Meanwhile, Eardrum founder Ralph van Dijk will look at what makes a catchy jingle, exploring the evolution of Australia’s favourite and longest-running commercial tunes and revealing what inspired the creators who sweated over them.

Along with presenting an exclusive video of the Shmacko’s composer recreating the song he wrote in under 10 minutes, van Dijk will also discuss what inspired the creation of the famous ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ song.

Plus, GroupM’s chief digital strategy officer Venessa Hunt and Mamamia’s head of content Elissa Ratliff will take part in an expert panel discussing commercial opportunities in audio.

In a session discussing the entire audio spectrum, they’ll explore and analyse the most effective, organic and creative ways of selling products and brands into audio.

Further sessions and panelists will be announced in the coming weeks.
