Vodafone hands Host creative account
Vodafone Hutchison Australia has awarded Host the advertising account for its Vodafone brand following a pitch against George Patterson Y&R Sydney and Happy Soldiers.
The three agencies were shortlisted last month, while incumbent Clemenger BBDO declined to be involved in the review.
Host will commence work with the telco on March 1. A VHA spokesman said the agency will be supported by Moon Communications Group, which will manage the retail creative strategy for Vodafone and 3 mobile stores.
Moon will also continue to manage the full creative activity for the 3 mobile brand.
Host recently announced it would not repitch for the Virgin Mobile creative business after having worked with the telco for 10 years.
Meanwhile, last month the agency was awarded the consolidated ad account for Coca-Cola’s Goulburn Valley business.
