In this yearly edition of Ad of the Month, the industry is invited to chose between all the winning ads of the month to crown one winner, Ad of the Year.
Voters are asked to choose between Apple’s ad which featured newly married same-sex couples, Myer’s bauble Christmas campaign, Volkswagen’s ad which was “too powerful for TV”, Budget Direct’s blockbuster, Honda’s “We are not the Same” ad, Westpac’s life insurance ad, Victorian Government’s ‘Deadly Questions’ campaign, Avocado Australia’s ad taking aim at millennials, Westpac’s ‘Help is what we Do’ campaign launch and AFL’s ‘Don’t Believe in Never’ ad.
Which ad do you think deserves to win?
You can vote in the survey embedded underneath the ads.
Here are the contestants:
Victorian Government’s Deadly Questions
VW Australia for the win. Love that ad.
Budget Direct’s ad was exceptional and is clearly the best as it was entertaining and used elements of comedy, mystery and action while clearly stating that with Budget Direct you can get more for a lower price.
AFL 2 touched my heart
Hate all codes of football, but I LOVE the AFL ad!
Vote for AFL
Is this ad of the year or campaign of the year?
The Myer baubles are surely the smartest canpaign of the year, but the TVC you’ve shown from the campaign is only a small representation of that.
The AFL ad, though contrived and in part (in my opinion) untruthful, the ad works brilliantly in its creativity, its compilation and in its ability to enter the soul of its audience.
I loathe football, I dislike most of what may be considered Political Correctness, but none of my personally held feelings conflict heavily with this artistically conceived and very cleverly produced ad.
Thumbs up for VW ad !!
Victorian Government’s Deadly Questions
Deadly Questions. Simple
Budget Direct was amazing
Best Tv add I have seen in years.
I like Budget 😛
Budget Direct ad for sure. Had all the elements to keep you watching, with some humor too. Also looks big Budget for a tv commercial (pun intended).
The Honda Ad for sure.. Love the bloke and the dog walking technique and the idea of versatility in a car…
Love the Budget Direct ad – Insurance Solved !
The AFL ad is in a league of its own ?. Brilliant.
Deadly Questions has got my vote.
Budget was great, love the touch of humor they used
Honda gets my vote!
Deadly Questions was great, government ads can often be intentionally bland or aimless but this had a sense of purpose and was interesting
