When ACA does geography
When it comes to nuanced coverage of international affairs, Dr Mumbo naturally looks first to Nine’s flagship consumer affairs show A Current Affair.
So imagine his shock when he saw that the show seems to have misplaced the Philippines by 2,500 kilometres.
According to an ACA graphic accompanying an item on call centre outsourcing, the Philippines appears to be smeared across parts of Indonesia, along with Singapore and Malaysia.
The correct location on the map was more than 2000 klicks north east.
But so high is Dr Mumbo’s trust in ACA, he can only assume that Google must have it wrong.
Leave ACA alone. The Year 7 students who put this story together have not studied Australia’s Neighbours in Geography yet. That part of the course is studied in Year 8. At least they could locate Australia.

Geography test for my 3rd year uni students… difficulty in pinpointing Canberra. Enough said.

Doesn’t surprise me this rubbish comes out of ACA.
Most people in the Philippines call centers (mainly in Manila) have higher English proficiency ratings than the entire ACA staff combined!
Why is Dr Mumbo watching ACA? Doctor’s (of any discipline) would probably end up destroying their TV in disgust after watching ACA.

You make a remark about English yet you manage to include an apostrophe in Doctor’s which doesn’t belong there?
