When fashion meets food: KitchenAid’s first-ever global brand collaboration with Alemais

Marking its first-ever global design collaboration, kitchen appliance brand KitchenAid has teamed up with Australian fashion brand Alemais to unveil a special edition stand mixer and bowl, inspired by Australia’s natural landscapes.

Described as a “work of art that finds its place at the heart of your home”, the bespoke product aims to act as a conversation starter right on the kitchen benches of Aussies.

“True to KitchenAid colour and design, we are always looking to craft the beauty of nature for your countertop,” said Brittni Pertijs, global colour, material and finish designer at Whirlpool.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the brilliant design team at Alemais who value nature’s endless inspiration, just as much as we do.”

KitchenAid ANZ marketing director, Rebecca Edwards, praised the design, dubbing it “the perfect blend”.

“We’re thrilled to have aligned with such a burgeoning design leader, a perfect fusion of artisanal mastery,” she said.

“We have such great pride in Australia being the first region to launch the first KitchenAid design collaboration, handpicked for our rich culinary culture and leading design industry.”

Inspired by nature, the Alemais team, including co-founder and creative director Lesleigh Jermanus, aimed to infuse elements of land, sea and sun into the design, paying homage to Australia’s natural landscapes.

Jermanus, who has over two decades of fashion experience, said: “We believe the kitchen is the heartbeat of the home, where we come together, where life unfolds.

“Crafting this piece for your kitchen, we sought to capture the very essence of what we hold dear in life – boundless joy, mouthwatering cuisine, and the vibrant tapestry of nature,” she concluded.
